Building Pennsylvania’s STEM Educator Workforce
A statewide initiative advancing regional collaboration, equity-driven systems, and sustainable pathways for recruiting, preparing, and retaining math and science educators across Pennsylvania.
Addressing Pennsylvania’s STEM Teacher Shortage
Over the last decade, Pennsylvania has experienced a steady decline in newly certified STEM educators, creating long-term challenges for schools and students across the state.
These shortages not only affect classroom instruction, but also limit access to high-quality STEM learning opportunities and weaken the future workforce pipeline.
The need for diverse, well-prepared, and supported STEM educators has never been more urgent.
Our Mission
To dramatically increase the number of math and Science teachers through coordinated leadership, cross-sector partnerships and evidence-based strategies using a regional center pipeline model.
We do this by:
1. Building a cohesive statewide strategy for recruiting, preparing, supporting, and retaining STEM educators.
2. Developing regional STEM educator talent development centers that engage all sectors of the STEM Ecosystems
